About

I’m Chris.

Bay Area graduation and couples photographer. I guide every session so the photos feel natural — even if you hate being in front of the camera.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

Most clients tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera. That’s completely normal — and it’s exactly why I do this the way I do. I guide you through the entire session so you always know what to do next. There’s no standing around hoping something looks right.

My work is focused on Bay Area graduation and couples portraits, with family and individual sessions also available. I know the light at Sather Gate in the morning, the best spots at SJSU before crowds arrive, and how to keep a group session from turning into chaos. That location knowledge is part of what you’re booking.

The experience is efficient, premium, and genuinely easy. Inquiry to gallery delivery — you’ll always know where things stand.

Work with me

Off the clock

A few things about me, beyond the camera.

Fact 01 / 04

Runner's high, ocean views

You'll usually find me looping Lake Merced or running the coast from the SF Zoo up to Sutro Baths — easily my favorite stretch in the city. It doubles as location scouting; some of my best session spots showed up mid-run.

The road here

From first camera to every-day seasons.

  1. 2019

    The first camera

Picked up my first real camera right after graduating high school. What hooked me was the quality — realizing a photo could make a moment look even better than it did in person.

  2. 2022

    Going all in on grads

Started shooting graduation sessions for real — learning the campuses, the light, and how to direct people who had never been photographed before.

  3. 2023

    The season that proved it

My first big season: at least one grad session every single day through April, May, and the back half of June. Somewhere in that stretch I realized this is exactly what I want to be doing.

  4. 2026

    Sharpening the experience

Now it's about refining everything — the planning, the sessions, the delivery — using every lesson from the seasons before to make the client experience better each year.

Approach

Highly directed. Completely natural.

Before the session, I plan the campus route around light and ceremony timing so we’re never rushing or guessing. On shoot day, I give clear, specific direction — move your weight here, look this way, laugh at that — so you spend your time feeling good, not standing awkwardly wondering what to do with your hands.

That direction is what produces natural-looking photos. It sounds like a contradiction, but the more guided the session, the more relaxed and genuine the expressions become. People stop thinking about the camera and start being themselves.

After the session, you get a private online gallery with 50+ professionally edited images, a clean download link, and a two-week turnaround. Communication throughout is fast, clear, and low-friction — no chasing, no guessing, no surprises.
