Blue and Gold at SJSU — A Sigma Omicron Pi Grad Shoot

Blue and Gold at SJSU — A Sigma Omicron Pi Grad Shoot

We started near the Student Union — those long glass walls catch the afternoon light in a way that's almost too clean. She came ready. White fitted dress, white platforms, her blue and gold SJSU stole, cap in hand. Right away she was just easy to shoot. No coaxing needed, no awkward warmup period. She knew what she was doing.

We went back and forth between two sides of campus. The modern glass corridor gave us that sleek architectural energy — her reflection trailing in the panels, the building doing a lot of the framing work for me. Then we crossed over to the older brick building with the arched doorway and everything just felt different. Warmer. She switched into her Sigma Omicron Pi stole for those frames and that white sash against the terracotta brick looked really, really good.

The palm tree promenade was probably my favorite stretch of the whole session. Sky had gone that pale golden-blue you only get for like twenty minutes before the light actually dies, and she's just standing there holding her cap like she can't believe it's actually over. Four years.

We ended at the big SJSU sign on the side of the building. She threw the cap up and laughed and that was it. That was the shot. Good session. She earned all of it.
